Ballgowns In our Ballgown catagories, you will find both American Smooth and International Standard style gowns. American Smooth (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot and Viennese Waltz; closed, open and seperate dance positions allowed) gowns are usually flashy, have large skirts but can have a very wide variety of styles. International Standard (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, and Viennese Waltz; closed dance positions only) gowns tend to be a more traditional than American Smooth gowns. You will usually see more detail on the back (as it is more seen than the front) and some kind of float. The best part about ballgowns is that the majority of them can be used for either dance. Most of our gowns do not come with jewelry, although they can all have custom accessories made to match perfectly to complete your outfit. Accordingly, if a gown does not have floats, we can make them to match just the same as jewelry. And just because a gown does have floats, doesnt mean you can't used it for Smooth.
